Gnome Shell add custom application

1. su
2. cd /usr/share/applications
3. copy some .desktop file or create new one. f.ex. aptana.desktop

Example:

[Desktop Entry]

Name=Aptana

Comment=Aptana development studio

GenericName=Aptana-studio

Exec=/home/YOU/apps/Aptana_Studio_3/AptanaStudio3

Icon=/home/YOU/apps/Aptana_Studio_3/icon.xpm

StartupNotify=true

Terminal=false

Type=Application

Categories=Development;IDE;PHP;

save file and try search it :) new you can add yout application to favourites

Install Apache and PHP

yum install httpd php php-common

service httpd start

Install phpmyadmin

yum install phpmyadmin

or download and upack to /var/www/html/ from http://www.phpmyadmin.net/

service  httpd restart

If you have problem with host name or permission (error 13) on fedora system, you must enable outgoing network connection.

Run as ROOT:

setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect 1

and

service httpd restart
